Greenland Hills is a neighborhood in East Dallas, TX. The neighborhood is bounded on the west by North Central Expressway, on the south by Vanderbilt Avenue, on the east by Greenville Avenue and on the north by McCommas Boulevard. Greenland Hills is more commonly referred to as “M Streets” because of two major streets – McCommas and Monticello – as well as a number of other minor streets starting with the letter M.
The M Streets neighborhood is very popular due to its proximity to Downtown (roughly 5 miles) as well as its vibrant and active community. M Streets also offers a wonderful location for nearby Universities and trendy areas such as Uptown.
The architecture and style of home in the neighborhood is very distinct but similar to other East Dallas areas. With Greenland Hills’ history stretching back to the 1920s, the Tudor style architecture emphasis remains today. Some homes still maintain features from this era including stained glass, arches and original hardwood floors. The combination of the historical architecture, well manicured lawns and the tree-lined walkways make the M Streets neighborhood extremely charming and attractive to all age groups.
