One of several neighborhoods in Dallas named for the names of the individual streets within it, Disney Streets Dallas is an area of Northwest Dallas in the Midway Hills community which contains streets named after Walt Disney characters.
Examples of the streets within the Disney Streets neighborhood include Pinocchio Drive, Cinderella Lane, Snow White Dr, Aladdin Dr, Dwarfs Cir and Wonderland Trail. The neighborhood is within the boundaries of Northaven Road to the north, Midway Road to the east, Royal Lane to the south and Rosser Road to the west.
Midway Hills including the Disney Streets neighborhood was developed by Gump and Gaynier during the 1950s. Pinocchio Drive was a feature of the Dallas Parade of Homes during the mid 1950s; multiple homes on Pinocchio Drive were considered very innovative and unique during this time period.
The entire community is considered a prime example of post World War II development. Due to a shortage of housing options, availability of affordable mortgages and an increase in the ownership of automobiles, Midway Hills and many similar communities around the country were developed in the aftermath of World War II.
Disney Streets remains a very attractive neighborhood today in Midway Hills.
